George Benson In Flight
Strangers Like Me Mp3 here. I love this album. All I want to do is just get my guitar and join in.come to think of it, I did.this album mainly consists of a classic funky chord progression whilst Benson lets rip on the guitar. And boy does it sounds great. He's just one fantastic guitar player. It's listening to a jazz guitarist, shared on a guitar.
Even though he has the light touch and taping octaves technique, he's got power. It shows that you don't need a 'Bif Muff' to be powerful. Big Range Hunting 3 on this page.
Benson does sing on the album. It's nice to finish on such a sweet, reflective song 'Everything Must Change'. As much as he's a great guitarist, he also makes a great singer. It really shows on this track. Of course, there's lots of his signature move, singing the guitar part while playing it. It really is noted perfect and extremely hard to do. The rest of the band are fantastic musicians as well.
They portray a really smooth, funky feel, its Benson who provides the jazz. A note ill point out is the orchestration on the album. There is a small string quartet.
I often worry about strings with funk as a lot of the time it ends up sounds very Bee Gee's however, that's not the case here. Its there to add some very sweet, lovely teacher when needed.
Overall this is a wonderful album and is a must-have for the funkmans shelf. Ware Dwg File Viewer here.
