I tried just installing the new firmware (holding the scroll up and down while plugging-in the USB cable) and the pedal does what it should.' Waiting for firmware update' or whatever it says. It should show the Zoom MS-50G in the midi in and midi out boxes. If I hit execute it just says it doesn't find the device or something similar.
I'm guessing that I need drivers for the zoom loaded onto my computer. If I plug anything else into a USB jack my comp automatically searches for and installs drivers. It should do the same for the zoom but it doesn't. I turned all my security off thinking maybe a firewall was blocking it from loading drivers but still NOPE. At the site it mentions that if you plug it into a DIFFERENT USB jack than you did when you first installed the drivers (?? Did it come with a CD?), your computer will show (something like).new device found.installing drivers.in a few moments it will load the drivers for the Zoom.bah blah blah.
