I've tried subresync - that's pretty horrible on all accounts, subrip - bad too. The best I found so far is SubtitleEdit but that also require hours of post-fixing. Even using when using it's spell check you'd still miss hundreds of errors that cannot be detected through the engine (numbers replacing characters, commas replacing stops etc.) thanks.
