The Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Office (FMDE) has designated Rockdale County as Camera Ready, a special designation given to participating Georgia communities interested in attracting film and television production. Our Camera Ready designation means we can provide easier, faster and better access to our county’s production resources and location information. Recent movie productions that have utilized the movie-friendly resources available in Rockdale County include Fast and Furious 5, starring Vin Diesel; A Joyful Noise, starring Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton, Prisoners, starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal; American Pie Reunion, Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 1 & 2, and Rob Zombie’s Zombieland. Television series productions that shoot in Rockdale County include The Vampire Diaries and The Originals as well as MTV’s Teen Wolf.
