The latest 1GB Western Europe map available to me via TomTom HOME (865. Bosch Art 30 Gsd Manual on this page. 3259) is listed as being 1009.8MB large, and on trying to install it on my TomTom ONE (V4), I am informed that I need to install a memory card if I want to use the map. The TomTom One V4 does not allow one to install memory cards - but more to the point, isn't the 1GB map meant to fit on 1GB devices? Ogame Universo Circular. I'd be grateful for any help in this matter (and no, as far as I can make out, I don't have the option of only installing certain zones). Just went online to buy western europe maps for a tom tom one - size available on the tom tom is 978 MB (uk and irl are installed) - theres no slot for a memory card - so I'm not sure if I purchase the western europe maps they will work on this device? It shows them as bigger than 1GB on the download page. So my requirements are simple - going to france in a couple of weeks and I simply want uk/irl and france on the tom tom!

It would be good if someone could clarify - paying for addtitional maps is fine if the tom tom will work - is there an alternative - or am I missing something obvious?

My friend has just bought a Tomtom one V4 and he's going to Europe this summer and wanted to borrow my Tomtom one XL V2 maps on SD card.
